Most court shoes are adapted from running or basketball design. Kanso works the other way around — its shoes are engineered from the ground up for indoor and hardcourt racquet sports, where the movement pattern is short, explosive, and multidirectional rather than straight-line.

That's the same movement profile pickleball demands: split-step at the kitchen line, sprint back for a lob, plant and change direction to cover an angle. A shoe built around that pattern behaves differently underfoot to a repurposed running shoe, particularly through stability in quick stops and starts.

Kanso is based in Sweden and manufactures through its own production process, with the brand already established as a footwear partner to professional squash and floorball athletes across the European indoor sports scene before extending its range into padel and pickleball.
